How to choose jewelry?

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

There are some tips for you on how to choose jewelry:

* Although you may have a favorite designer, there’s really no need to stick with just one. In fact, there’s no need for the pieces to actually be designer. There are plenty of wonderful pieces on the market that are unsigned but certainly make a fashion statement. Mix and match your jewelry to give it character and a little pizazz!
* Costume Tiffany Jewelry, both signed and unsigned, is an affordable way to complete your look. Costume Jewelry can be bought for a low price and has plenty of life. Heck, we see costume jewelry back to the 1920s still in excellent condition. What’s great with costume jewelry is you can use it, get tired of it, put it away or give it away and have still gotten good value for your money.
* Designer pieces tend to cost a little more, last a little longer, and they usually follow more traditional lines so you can wear them for more than one or two seasons.
* Sterling Silver is affordable and very versatile. If you don’t want to spend the money for sterling, then purchase some silver plate pieces. Silver is a must have for any wardrobe! You can go from dainty and delicate to large and noticeable. It can be dressed up or down and is acceptable for any event or occasion.
* When purchasing Tiffany Rings, you can have great fun – again the choices are endless from large and overwhelming to dainty and feminine. The length and size of your fingers plays an important role in what will look good. For example, long skinny fingers don’t look good with huge oversized rings, yet on a woman that has long thicker fingers they look exquisite. Long nails? Short nails? it all makes a difference. Play and see what you like, and what looks good. Also, determine where you will be wearing these rings. For example, if you’re working around fine fabrics, you’ll not want any rings that have sharp edges that could snag. Your rings are also part of your total statement.
* When purchasing Tiffany Necklaces, be certain you know your neck size so that you get a good fit. This is very important when purchasing online as you don’t get a chance to try it on. If your neck is average in size then a 16″ necklace will look great, however if you have a somewhat larger than average neck then a 16″ necklace could be too tight. Measure the length of some of your favourite necklaces you already own. This will give you a good indication of what length you prefer. Opera necklaces which are over 30″ are terrific. They can be double wrapped, knotted, or whatever else your imagination comes up with. When choosing colored necklaces, make sure to pick a color that complements your skin tone. It may match your outfit fabulously but if it doesn’t match or complement your skin tone your look could be lost.
* When purchasing Tiffany Bracelets, you’ll need to decide where you’re going to wear them, and how noticeable you want them to be. The availability of size and shape is endless – you can go from large bangle bracelets to dainty gem bracelets. If it is a slip-on bracelet, be sure that it will fit over your hand. Make certain to measure your wrist as the fit of a bracelet is very important. Too large and it will look sloppy and may even slide off. Too small and it can constrict your wrist movement.
* Your hands are your expressive area and many of us “talk with our hands.” (they are also the smallest part of our body!) Try wearing three bracelets on one wrist – its a sign of power. They don’t have to match either so step out and do something different. Don’t forget to wear a dainty bracelet with your watch.
* When purchasing Tiffany Earrings, realize that the shapes and styles are endless – from dangles to chandeliers to hoops to studs to buttons. There are materials from enamel to beads to gems to metal to wood. The size of the earrings is very important to the statement you’re making. The larger the earring, the more noticeable and the more incorporated they become into your total look. Large earrings aren’t for everyone – depending on your face size and shape they may actually detract rather than attract. Experiment and find what looks best on you.
* Your jewelry choices are endless – no matter what your tastes, your likes, your dislikes. You’ll be able to complete your look just the way you want it with little effort. So be sure to make your fashion statement!

Tips for you and your Tiffany

Many people want to maintain their noble elegance and unique taste through the wearing of classical and exquisite tiffany jewelries. Truly, tiffany jewelries are the typical examples of beauty and nobility. Proper ways of fine maintenance of precious tiffany jewelries also play a very important role. Cleaning precious Tiffany jewelries is much easier than you think. So take advantage of these simple tips that will keep your precious tiffany jewelry sparkling and lustrous and you can enjoy them for years to come.
Like Tiffany Pendant, the precious Tiffany & Co Rings also need to be cleaned to maintain their original brilliance and luster. Many variables in our surrounding can dull the shine of precious gems: body lotion, perfume, hairspray, perspiration, or just simply, normal everyday wear.
All lotions and soap film are some of the more difficult materials to remove. Just a little of any of these materials on your precious Tiffany & Co stone, will take away much of the visual brilliance of the stone. So it is vital to keep your Tiffany and Co jewelry clean to maintain its sparkling diamond look.
A convenient way to clean your valuable tiffany jewelry is to use a small brushing device with soft bristles (preferably a toothbrush), along with warm to hot water mixed with a mild liquid dishwashing detergent (such as the brand, Joy), and brush as well as possible to remove any scum build-up.
Then, rinse well in warm to hot water, pat dry with a clean cloth, and take a look. If more cleaning is needed, soak the jewelry piece in hot water, with about 1/3 detergent to 2/3 hot water. (The mix is not critical.) Then, just brush again. When you have cleaned your jewelry, be sure to dry it well so to keep its brilliant shine.
Avoid exposing your noble Tiffany & Co jewelries to abrasive substances such as household chemicals when cleaning with bleach or ammonia, or when swimming in chlorinated water, as these chemicals can damage your jewelries. Although most abrasive cleansers will not damage a tiffany stone, they will, however, take the lustrous shine off the metal in which the stone is set.
Gemologists can agree that tiffany comes much closer than any other gem material to matching the characteristics of an uncanny diamond. As Tiffany is quickly becoming more popular as a desirable substitute for diamond, it’s important to care for it the same way you would treat a diamond. And it is also useful for your Tiffany silver Cufflinks. So if for some reasons you cannot remove the dirt off your tiffany jewelry, take it to a jeweler and give it a high-pressure steam clean, as would be done to a diamond. This will remove almost any scum off your precious Tiffany & Co jewelries.
When we clean a customer’s jewelry and inspect it for wear, and loose or missing stones, we find the jewelry needing repair is most often a jewelry piece that has never been cleaned by the owner. Persistent dirt gets between the metal settings and the stones, causing abrasive wear and eventually, perhaps a loose stone.
One of the most basic rules of jewelry care is to apply all lotions, make-up, hair spray, etc. Before you put on your jewelry, firstly to minimize scratches and other damage, store your jewelry either in a cloth pouch or in a separate compartment in your jewelry box. Now that you know how easy it is to care for your tiffany jewelries, be sure to clean your tiffany jewelry regularly depending on how often you wear it; if you wear it everyday, cleaning it once a week is sufficient.
Follow our simple tips on cleaning tiffany jewelries, and you can be certain your tiffany jewelry will not only maintain its original brilliance and luster for years to come, but it will continue to sparkle radiantly for you when you wear it, and then you can show off it on the presence of the public to your heart’s content.

Have a look on just posted cultured tiffany jewelry collection. Different tiffany jewelry colors like white, black, pink, golden, grey and more. Many shapes and sizes. Read more to find out what are cultured tiffany jewelry !

Cultured tiffany jewelry
A tiffany jewelry is formed when some sort of small object, typically a parasite or piece of organic matter, becomes embedded in the tissue of an oyster or mollusk.
In response, the mantle tissue of the mollusk secretes nacre, a combination of crystalline and organic substances. As the nacre builds up in layers, it surrounds the irritant and eventually forms a tiffany jewelry .

Natural tiffany jewelry are those pearls which are formed in nature, more or less by chance.
Cultured pearls, by contrast, are those in which humans take a helping hand. By actually inserting a foreign object into the tissue of an oyster or mollusk, tiffany jewelry farmers can induce the creation of a pearl.
The same natural process of pearl creation takes place.

Tiffany Jewelry Is a Timeless Classic
That little blue box – everyone woman dreams of seeing it come their way. Tiffany’s jewelry is world renowned for its stunning quality and top of the line artisanship; however, it also has a reputation for having a price tag that is way out of most people’s leagues. That doesn’t mean you can’t get that Tiffany look you want at a price you can afford, however. Thanks to replica Tiffany jewelry, you can look like you are draped in Tiffany jewelry, and yet still have the money left in your pocket to go out and show off your looks.
Realistic Replicas Are Everywhere These Days
Spotting a Tiffany Fake
Of course, if you are in the market for the real thing, the wide availability of fake Tiffany jewelry can make it difficult for you to know for sure you are getting the actual Tiffany jewelry and not a knock off. To avoid being scammed, you can look out of one thing. Tiffany always engraves their jewelry with a Tiffany symbol – any jewelry that does not have this mark is not the real Tiffany.

These markings can be copies (although on close examination, there is almost always some characteristic that gives the fraud away). If you want to be extra sure the Tiffany piece you are buying is the real thing, have the jewelry appraised. An appraiser will be able to tell if the materials used in your jewelry are real or not.
